I know this is totally minor, but since ATLAS doesn’t accurately calculate age can it not show in the check in function. I have students going “I’m not 40 yet… :-(” or “I’m 8 and a half not 9”. I get that 2 people might have the same name and that this is a good way to differentiate who is who, but can it be the birthday (preferably without year) instead of the incorrect age.
Hi Anissa,
I believe there are two things here. One is, um… why doesn’t Atlas calculate Age correctly… This will be fixed!!!
The other is do you want age showing up on the check-in. The challange here is if there are more than one students with the same name we need a way to tell the difference between them when they try to check-in. Perhaps I could ask… Is there a better way to do this? Or is there a better data element that can help them tell the difference when checking in!
Thank you for all you help!

I understand the reasoning behind it, I just think that Anissa Rodriguez Sept, 27 is better than Anissa Rodriguez age 31. My older students don’t like their age displayed
Anissa,
This has now been TOTALLY renovated.
Let me know what you think!!!
I just started using it, and one of mu older students thought it was a bit creepy that her bday was showing at all. Maybe it would be better if the photo capture could be set up better that we could just add their photos with the webcam and that would be displayed?
We’re going to experiment with the photo.
Thanks for the suggestion.
