Manually entering attendance
Steps
1) Expand settings
2) Click on ‘Attendance’
3) Select a student
4) Click ‘New Attendance’ button
a. First suggestion: Take out the ‘Time’ field. Your system is set to EST. So when you manually enter the attendance it shows up with current time in EST. This should be irrelevant as the user is just trying to put in the students attendance for the class
5) After you enter and save the attendance, enter another one for the same style/class/date
a. Bug/Suggestion: In my eyes it is a bug that I can enter the student into the same style/class/date multiple times. If I already checked them in to the class, I should receive an error saying that the student is already checked in, if I attempt to do it again.
6) Choose a student that does not have a specific class assigned to them and enter them into attendance for that class.
a. User should receive an error saying “Student is not enrolled in this class, proceed anyway?” This would alert the user that the person may not have signed up for the class and may need to be charged for it.
Feature suggestion for Check In
There should be a faster way to see what students have checked into which class. Currently you can go into ‘Settings’ -> ‘Attendance’ and then search by student. There should be a way to search via class, click on the class and you will see all who attended and have a total amount of attendance. This will make it easier for users with big classes to make sure everyone checked in and give them a head count to help verify.
Wow, some great suggestions in there.
This is something that the we’ll discuss as a team and work into the development road map.
We’ll be sure to let you know when the changes are implemented.
Sincerely,
Jose Rodriguez
