The system should allow for people to put in whatever their data may be and then calculate the remainder. As opposed to having the user figure out the exact number in order for it to be even.
Example: Course Duration = 12 Months. Total Course Fee ($2400) – Discount ($50) – Today’s Payment ($275) = $2075/11 months. The monthly payment for the 11 months would 188.63636363. When this happens the system would simply round up to the next cent so the out come would be $188.64.
Currently it makes the user put in the data so that it will be even payments. This may result in the user trying to get the client to put more money down or take money away from the down payment in order to get that number.
Hi sir,
I see what you are saying. However, automatically changing the payment to correct for miscalculations could prove problematic. For instance, in your example your desired monthly payment (and presumably the agreed upon amount) was 188.63. If the system were to autocorrect that to 188.64 and the client wasn’t notified for some reason they would believe they were overcharged. It would also raise the total to 2075.40. Doesn’t seem like a lot, but could cause some legal issues.
There is a potential solution that we are currently engineering that would alleviate this problem and prevent the potential legal issues. We’ll reach out when there is progress on this solution.
Sincerely,
Jose Rodriguez
