ParticipantThis is about the uBill Lookup window, this also occurs with other apps.
When I open a window for a student or buyer, I cannot go back to that Student’s/Buyer’s selection window and must re-enter my selection.
Can the Student/Buyer window be opened in a separate window.
This way both windows will be available and re-selection won’t be necessary.
This would be a great feature where the selection window opens the selection in a separate window.
Thanks!

KeymasterMike,
You might need to walk me through specifically where you’re describing this.
I will submit though (although I don’t really know if this is your concern or not), having a contact record open in a new tab CAN cause some serious issues. (Again, I’m not sure if this is relevant…..)
If you have 2 different contacts open in 2 different windows, there is a possibility that if you update 1 of the records, but go ‘to’ the other record and do some action, you may get cross data ‘contamination’.
Some variable live in ‘session memory’ and this can sometimes cause ‘bad’ things to happen under some conditions.
Please point me at exactly where you’re seeing the issue, and I’ll see if there is a way to accomplish smoothing it out.
Thanks!

ParticipantMaster Milroy,
Let me do a walk through so you can see what I’m saying.
1. In uBill BETA, I search for a student, click their name to open their record. This will open that student’s information.
2. Now if I made an error and wanted to actually see their Account History and exit the record. I have to r-re-enter that student’s name again to get back to their record.
3. Then I can select “actions” to get to Account History.
4. Once I am finished with Account History and click the Back button on the bottom left, it returns me to the Search window again and I have to re-enter the Student’s name again to get back to their record.
If all I need to do is work with that One student’s record, it becomes tedious, redundant, and time consuming having to re-enter the student’s name again and again.
So what I’m asking is can that search window remain until I cancel, close or search for another student so I can keep working with that same record until I’m done.
Thank You!
Mike
