ParticipantJust need clarification on the verbiage.
This is the verbiage when deleting an agreement and it is a little confusing and inaccurate in some cases.
Delete Agreement – The Delete Agreement button will remove the agreement and if the buyer is not on another agreement it will convert the buyer to a prospect!
Delete People – Click the Delete People button when you know this is the last agreement for this buyer and you do not want this buyer to appear in your system any more!
“Delete Agreement” removes the trial agreement and returns the Buyer back to a Prospect or removes only the expired agreement and maintains the Renewed agreement and People. Use this if deleting a member agreement and still want to maintain the member record but the “member” will now revert to a “Prospect” – Is that correct?
“Delete People” removes Trial and Students/Buyers along with their agreements so both “people” and agreement are completely removed from the system. – Is that correct?
Thank You!
Mike

KeymasterIt’s a little confusing….we’re always looking for ways to simplify this process.
Essentially, if you choose “Delete Agreement” you are deleting the agreement, but “IF” the Buyer is NOT on any other agreements, they will NOT be a “Student” or “Buyer” any more, so we move them to a “Prospect” for you.
Does that help??

KeymasterHi Guys,
The way this works is you have a choice as to where a buyer ends up after you delete an agreement. Some folks would like for the buyer to become prospects so they can try and re-engage them for future business. Sometimes though the buyer may move away or you believe they will most likely never return to the school. In this case you might not want them to be a prospect and be subject to the automation sequences. Therefore they should be removed from the system.
There are two options that help you decide what to do:
- Delete Agreement will remove the agreement you are trying to delete and convert the buyer to a prospect. Therefore the buyer will no longer show up in the agreements/buyers list but will show up in the prospects list.
- Delete People will remove the agreement you are trying to delete as well but will also delete the buyer associated with this agreement.
NOTE: There is one exception to the above rules. If the buyer is on another active agreement then the buyer will not be converted to a prospect nor will it be deleted. Makes sense right? You are trying to delete an agreement but if that person is a buyer for a different agreement then you certainly do not want the buyer to disappear from the agreements list.
I hope this helps and let us know if you have any additional questions.
Thank you for being an ATLAS professional!
